As a senior executive in a multinational corporation covering Africa, Middle East, and Europe, you've achieved the career success you once dreamed of. But now, you're beginning to question the importance and meaning of it all.

What is success, really? Is it overrated? The answer lies in understanding that success takes different definitions for different people, and its meaning can vary across the seasons of life.

For some, success is about fame, power, and wealth. Others see it as the ability to use these attributes to serve others. Yet, others believe that true success is only achieved when one excels in their family life and has a strong connection with God.

People's notions of success are as unique as their handwriting. What one person considers a huge success, another might see as nothing much. This is why it's essential to ask yourself: how can I lead my life so that it inspires others? How can I ensure that my legacy is a blessing for those I leave behind?

Philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, 'To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better, whether by a healthy child, or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you lived in it – this is to have succeeded.'
