On December 22, the Blankets and Wine festival made a triumphant return to the scene after a year-long absence. The event, which had been eagerly anticipated by fans, did not disappoint.

As the day began with sunny skies and high temperatures, the evening brought a refreshing downpour, but the revellers were undeterred. They braved the rain for close to half an hour, enjoying the performances of Sol Generation's Nviiri and Kaskazini.

While some attendees were prepared with umbrellas, scarves, or jackets to shield themselves from the rain, others were just as happy to dance in the downpour. The Sol Generation crew, consisting of Nviiri and Bensoul, delivered impressive performances, with Fena getting the crowd dancing as she always does.

However, the night belonged to Sun El Musician, whose songs were sung word-for-word by the crowd in an enchanting chorus. Despite the cleanliness issues with the porta-loos and long lines, the event was a resounding success.

Unfortunately, the night was marred by reports of pickpocketing and a violent robbery incident outside the venue. A couple was attacked by assailants on Ngong Road after leaving the event, but thanks to the bravery of the man, they managed to escape without further harm.
