Nominated Senator Beth Mugo has come out in support of President Uhuru Kenyatta's bid for two more terms in office, echoing sentiments expressed by COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli.
According to Senator Mugo, Uhuru's legacy is bound to stand the test of time, and Kenyans should be ready to give him two more terms to enable Kenya to reform fully and embrace global sophistication.
She pointed out that the President is still young and futuristic, and that leaving him to retire in 2022 would leave the Big Four action plan incomplete.
Senator Mugo commended Uhuru's leadership, saying that his ability to incorporate ODM party leader Raila Odinga into the government is a testament to his genius and thoughtfulness.
She also described Uhuru as a highly charismatic and strategic leader whose devotion for a better Kenya can never be underestimated.
“The President has tried to move the country forward but had faced problems with the opposition. Now that the opposition has seen sense in joining hands, we should perhaps extend their term so that we see our country prospering,” she said.
