Published on December 27, 2019, Gor Mahia assistant coach Patrick Odhiambo is optimistic that the team will outwit Posta Rangers in Sunday's Kenyan Premier League (KPL) clash.

Coach Steven Polack is away on holiday in England, but Odhiambo believes that the team's winning mentality will see them through.

"I believe the absence of our coach won't affect us because we have been approaching games with a winning mentality. Our aim is to win and widen the gap as we enter the New Year," said Odhiambo in an interview with Nation Sport.

Polack is expected to return on Monday, and Odhiambo will hand over the reins to him after the game.

Meanwhile, Gor Mahia will be without foreign strikers Francis Afriyie and Yikpe Ghislain, who have left the team after missing their pay for the past five months.
