On Thursday, a tragic accident occurred at Nangili along the Eldoret-Kitale Highway, leaving a trail of destruction and loss of life.

A PSV and another vehicle carrying sheep collided at Kipsombe bridge in Nangili, resulting in multiple injuries and fatalities.

According to the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), the number of road fatalities this year has surpassed those in 2018.

As of November 18th, 3,112 lives had been lost, compared to 2,727 in 2018, highlighting the alarming rate of road accidents in the country.

NTSA's survey also revealed that 85.5% of fatalities were males, while 16.7% were females.
