On Thursday, a group of Wiper Democratic Movement leaders held a press conference to express their discontent with former Machakos Senator Johnson Muthama's actions.

According to the leaders, led by Secretary General Peter Mathuki, Muthama's refusal to obey party rules has led to the party considering disciplinary action against him.

Mathuki's sentiments were echoed by Kitui Senator Enock Wambua, who accused Muthama of attempting to split the Kamba Nation.

Kitiani MP Robert Mbui also spoke at the press conference, urging the Kamba nation to disregard Muthama's sentiments, stating that the region was united ahead of the 2022 elections.

These demands come after Muthama accused Kalonzo of auctioning the Kamba nation to the highest bidder during Christmas celebrations at the Light Christian Church in Machakos.

On December 22, Kalonzo hosted Kamba leaders at his Yatta home, urging them to unite for any meaningful political stride.

He also expressed his support for President Kenyatta and the BBI report, vowing to back the Commander-in-Chief even after 2022.
