On December 22, 2019, the Blankets and Wine festival made a triumphant return to Ngong Racecourse after a year-long absence. The event, which had been eagerly anticipated by fans, did not disappoint, with a lineup that featured some of the biggest names in the music industry.

As the day began, the sun was shining brightly, but as the evening drew in, the rain started to fall. However, this did not deter the revellers, who were determined to have a good time.

Despite the rain, the crowd was in high spirits, with many braving the showers to enjoy the live performances. The Sol Generation crew, consisting of Nviiri and Bensoul, were on point with their performances, with Nviiri's hit song 'Pombe Sigara' getting the crowd dancing.

However, the night belonged to Sun El Musician, whose songs were being sung word-for-word by the crowd in an almost enchanting chorus. The event was a huge success, with fans enjoying the music and the atmosphere.

However, there were some downsides to the event, including the cleanliness of the porta-loos and the long lines that formed due to a lack of facilities. Additionally, some attendees reported losing their phones and wallets to pickpockets, although security was good at the venue.

One incident of violent robbery was reported, in which a couple was attacked outside the venue after they left. However, the man managed to hold back the assailants and told the woman to run, and they were able to escape without further harm.
