As the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) prepares for repeat elections in early 2020, the organization's branches have been engaging in public participation forums on the 2019/2020 Electoral Code.

According to reports, 17 out of 20 FKF branches have held such forums, with the exercise set to conclude before the turn of the year.

The Sports Disputes Tribunal had previously nullified the FKF Branch Elections, citing inadequate public participation on the Electoral Code.

FKF's South Coast Branch Chairman, Gabriel Mghendi, emphasized the importance of inclusivity in the process, stating, "We have come back to our members to seek their input on the code. Inclusivity is key in this process and I am happy that members will have their chance to exercise their right to choose proper leadership."

Following the public participation forums, the National Executive Committee will brainstorm the members' deliberations and propose a final Electoral Code for a vote at a Special General Meeting in January.

The NEC will also propose an Electoral Board, which will be up for a vote at the same meeting.
