Malkia Strikers Prepare for Tokyo Olympics Qualifiers

The Kenyan national volleyball team, Malkia Strikers, is gearing up for the Tokyo Olympics qualifiers, scheduled to take place in Cameroon.

According to reports, the team is expected to jet out of the country on January 2nd, 2020.

The squad comprises largely of players from the KCB ladies' volleyball team, with Paul Bitok serving as the technical advisor and Japheth Munala as his deputy.

The team will be led by captains Noel Murambi and Brackcides Agala.

Other notable players include Lincy Jeruto, Violet Makuto, Leonida Kasaya, and Jemima Siangu.

Notably, Violet Makuto and Noel Murambi have been instrumental in guiding the national team to major victories in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Japan over the past 7 years.

During the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup, Makuto inspired Kenya to a 3-1 convincing win over Cameroon in Osaka.
