Published on December 26, 2019, Kenyan-Mexican actress Lupita Nyong'o is currently in Ghana as part of the 'Year of Return' campaign.

According to reports, Lupita arrived in Ghana incognito to avoid the usual welcome given to other celebrities.

During her visit, Lupita was spotted at the Cape Coast Castle in Central Region, as seen in a photo shared by YEN.com.gh.

As part of the 'Year of Return' program, Lupita and her crew will be staying in Ghana for a while to explore the country's beauty.

The 'Year of Return' is a year-long event commemorating the return of the first enslaved Africans from James Town in Accra to James town in Virginia in the United States of America.

Since the launch of the program, Ghana's economy has received a total of $1.9 billion through related activities.

Ghana's Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, has reported an increase in the number of tourists to over 750,000 due to the 'Year of Return' program.
