Kenyan-Mexican actress Lupita Nyong'o has joined the growing list of celebrities participating in Ghana's 'Year of Return' campaign.
According to reports, Lupita arrived in Ghana incognito to avoid the usual fanfare that comes with celebrity arrivals at Kotoka International Airport.
During her visit, Lupita was spotted at the Cape Coast Castle in the Central Region, a historic site that has become a major tourist attraction.
The 'Year of Return' is a year-long event celebrating the return of the descendants of the first enslaved Africans from James Town in Accra to James town in Virginia in the United States of America.
Since the launch of the program, Ghana's economy has received a significant boost of $1.9 billion, with over 750,000 tourists visiting the country.
