On July 12, 2019, a devastating incident occurred at a party in Beijing, China, where a newborn baby's life was tragically cut short.

A month-old baby had gathered with friends and family at his parents' home to celebrate his four-week anniversary, a traditional milestone marking the blessing and celebration of a newborn.

However, the festivities took a dark turn when the baby's grandfather, under pressure from his peers, decided to propose a toast and offered the baby a sip of alcohol.

According to medical experts, even tiny amounts of alcohol can be poisonous to children, causing their tiny bodies to absorb it more quickly than adults.

Alcohol impacts the nervous system, leading to a rapid fall in glucose levels, which can result in seizures, comas, and even fatal heart rate and blood pressure drops.

The baby was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately died before receiving medical attention.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers of alcohol poisoning in children and the importance of responsible behavior around them.
