On December 25, 2019, a tragic incident shook the quiet village of Mumbuni in Kathiani, where a young couple's lifeless bodies were discovered in their rented house.
The couple, a 24-year-old man and his 19-year-old lover, had been renting the house for only 10 days before their untimely demise.
According to witnesses, the couple had been arguing frequently, with the man accusing his lover of promiscuity on several occasions.
The landlord, who had sensed something was amiss, visited the house and found it locked from inside. He broke a window to gain access and discovered the bodies, prompting him to raise the alarm.
Nguluni location area Chief Johnbosco Ndambuki visited the scene and confirmed the incident, urging young couples to seek alternative ways of resolving their differences.
The bodies were taken to Kangundo Hospital Mortuary as investigations into the puzzling deaths continue.
