During the service, Father Okello cautioned Kenyans against taking the handshake between President Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga for granted, noting that it had brought an end to the hostility that threatened the country's destruction.
President Kenyatta, in his Christmas message, commended the efforts of religious leaders in advocating for peace and unity, particularly during a time when the country was divided along tribal and political lines.
As Kenyans prepared to usher in a New Year, President Kenyatta conveyed his wishes for a peaceful nation, amidst the challenges facing the country.
