Published on December 25, 2019, Shabana FC, a National Super League side, has announced trials to recruit new players ahead of the second leg of the league.
The call for trials comes after the team's poor showing in the first leg of the second tier league, prompting supporters to urge the management to bolster the squad.
The trials will be conducted on Friday and Saturday at the team's home turf, Gusii Stadium, and will be overseen by Shabana's technical bench.
Interested parties aged between 18-25 years have been invited to participate in the trials, which aim to identify youthful players who can steer the team to the next level.
According to club chairman Jared Nevaton, the event will focus on identifying young talents who possess basic components of the game, such as dribbling and passing.
Shabana FC is currently 11th on the 20-team standings, having amassed 24 points.
The team will play their first match of the second leg when they host leaders Nairobi City Stars on January 11, 2020.
