Published on December 25, 2019, Tottenham Hotspur has taken swift action against a fan who threw a cup at Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga during their 2-0 home defeat on Sunday.

The incident occurred in the 65th minute when Kepa walked across the six-yard box, narrowly avoiding the cup thrown by a supporter behind the goal.

Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed that they have identified the individual responsible and issued an immediate ban.

‘We can confirm that we have identified and issued an immediate ban to the individual responsible for throwing a cup at Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga during Sunday’s Premier League home fixture,’ the club stated.

Additionally, Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger was allegedly racially abused during the match, and the German defender has urged the club to find and punish those involved. Tottenham Hotspur’s investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
