On Tuesday evening, a tragic incident unfolded in Suna West Sub-county, Migori County, where a middle-aged woman allegedly stabbed her brother-in-law to death.

According to eyewitnesses, the deceased had visited his in-law who was peeling cassava, but the visit turned sour after an undisclosed matter sparked a heated argument.

The argument escalated when the deceased spanked his sister-in-law, who was not granting him attention, leading to a row that turned tragic.

Witnesses claim that the suspect, who was reportedly peeling cassava, rose from her seat and viciously stabbed the deceased on the chest with a kitchen knife.

The area chief, Yogo Tumbo, confirmed that the deceased died on the spot and his remains were moved to the Migori level four hospital mortuary pending an autopsy.
