Police in Migori have launched a manhunt for a middle-aged woman who is alleged to have stabbed to death her brother-in-law over a domestic squabble.

According to Chief Paul Yogo of Suna lower location, the woman, identified as Eunice Adhiambo, had differed with her brother-in-law, Joanes Nyambo, 32, over family issues on Tuesday evening.

Yogo stated that the deceased had wanted his sister-in-law to attend to him, but she told him she was busy peeling cassava, prompting him to start beating her.

However, the woman, who is pregnant, allegedly retaliated by stabbing her brother-in-law on the chest with a knife she was using to peel cassava.

The neighbor who heard the deceased screaming took him to the hospital, but he died on the way.

The woman fled the scene, leaving behind her two children and husband, and the police are now pursuing her.

The body of the deceased was taken to Migori County referral hospital for a postmortem.

Chief Yogo urged people not to take action of killing others when they differ.
