December's Arrival Brings Demands from the Palace ¶
December has finally arrived, and with it, the usual high emotions in the Palace, my home in the western prairies of the Aberdare countryside. As a husband and father, I'm no stranger to the demands that come with this time of year.
My wife, Queen, has already presented me with a long list of items she'd like me to buy for her, citing Christmas as the perfect opportunity to spoil her with goodies. The boys, too, have tabled their own wish lists, and I must navigate these demands without losing my peace and loving nature.
As I reflect on the story of Joseph, the carpenter, who provided for his queen, Mary, and son, Jesus, I'm reminded that even in the midst of troubles, love and provision can be found. And so, I'll attend to both the demand and want lists, just as Joseph did, to prove my love and care for my family.
With a projected cost of Sh50,000, I'll have to be creative in meeting these demands, especially with my Volkswagen Beetle in need of re-tread wheels. But as a financial gymnast, I'm confident in my ability to sweet-talk Wa Kanesa into providing the necessary credit.
As the rains pour down on the countryside, my trusty Beetle remains the only reliable mode of transportation, earning it the title of the only Uber of choice in the Aberdare countryside. And so, I'll give both Queen and December a big surprise, frustrating all those who've doubted my ability to provide for my family.
