Published on December 25, 2019, Arsenal are preparing for life without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has just 18 months left on his current deal with the club.

The Gabonese striker has stalled on contract talks, and his unhappiness with the current situation at Arsenal has led to speculation about his future.

According to Sky Sports, the North London club has identified Kevin Volland, a German international, as a possible replacement for Aubameyang.

Volland, who plays for Bayer Leverkusen, has impressed Arsenal scouts in recent matches and has 18 months left on his contract.

His Bundesliga club would be tempted to sell him for cash or risk losing him for free when his deal ends.

Real Madrid are among top European clubs monitoring Aubameyang's situation at Arsenal, and the Gunners could be tempted to sell him in January.
