On December 25, 2019, Microsoft announced its partnership with the One Million Farmers Platform, a World Bank initiative aimed at enhancing the productivity of Africa's agriculture through innovative technologies.

Through its 4Afrika Initiative, Microsoft will provide technical and business support to 14 Kenyan innovators selected to develop technology solutions for the platform. The innovators will have the opportunity to work closely with Microsoft's mentors on business development, technology architecture, and market strategies.

Additionally, the innovators can apply for Microsoft's AI for Earth grant, a $50 million (Sh5 billion) program.
