Kabras Sugar, currently leading the Kenya Cup standings, are eyeing a season double after a successful first half of the season.

Coach Henley Du Plessis, a South African tactician, believes his team can win the Kenya Cup and defend the Enterprise Cup, where they were drawn against Menengai Oilers in the round of 16.

‘This season we target to get to the playoffs and try to bring the semi-finals and finals to Kakamega as well as go all the way and win the Kenya Cup which we lost last season to KCB, and also make sure we defend the Enterprise Cup,’ Du Plessis told Citizen Digital.

With 35 points from eight matches, Kabras are a point ahead of KCB and two points ahead of Homeboyz in the Kenya Cup standings.

‘This is what we’re working hard for, we want to go for the Kenya Cup trophy, but we still have seven games ahead of us before the Playoffs, but we’ll come back more refreshed and start working hard for next year and see how far we can go but ideally we want to win it,’ charged Henley.
