On December 24, 2019, Nairobi News reported on the burial plans of Erastus Aduda, a departed Gor Mahia fan.
Aduda's body was found at a guest house in Kisumu after he went missing for over a week.
He was taken to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination.
According to a reliable source, Aduda, a former Marine, had sustained severe head injuries during a mission in Iraq several years ago.
He had been under medication since then and occasionally experienced convulsions.
‘He got severe convulsions and was not able to take medicines and succumbed,’ the source revealed to Nairobi News.
A minute of silence was observed in his honour before the Kenyan Premier League match between Kisumu All Stars and Gor Mahia at the Moi Stadium in Kisumu.
