On a fateful day in December 2019, a young man named Polo was traveling from Eldoret to Kakamega in a matatu. His life was about to take an unexpected turn.

According to eyewitnesses, the matatu had been on the road for over 20 kilometers when Polo suddenly realized that his mother was sitting beside him. The news sent shockwaves through his body, and he was left speechless.

As reported by Taifa Leo, Polo's reaction was immediate. He asked the driver to stop the car and let him out, citing the cultural taboo of sitting next to his mother. The driver, however, was taken aback by Polo's request and refused to stop the car.

Witnesses claim that Polo's friends in the matatu were shocked by his behavior and tried to reason with him. However, Polo was adamant that he could not continue the journey with his mother by his side.

As the drama unfolded, Polo's words echoed through the air: "Wacha nishukie tu hapa nitafute gari lingine. Shida ni kwamba siwezi kukaa na mkwe wangu pamoja," he said, as he jumped out of the car.

The incident has left many wondering about the cultural norms and traditions that govern relationships between parents and children in Kenya.
