Everton Football Club has made significant progress in their plans to build a new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock in Liverpool. The club has released images of the final designs of the £500m stadium, which will have a seating capacity of 52,000.
According to Denise Baxendale-Barrett, Everton's chief executive, the new stadium is a 'profound statement of intent' for the club's future. The stadium will not only provide a world-class matchday experience for fans but also new facilities for cultural events and a stunning addition to Liverpool's built environment.
Everton has undergone several stages of public consultation, incorporating feedback from fans and stakeholders. The club has tweaked the proposals to integrate a multi-storey car park from the waterside into the stadium design and introduced additional environmental measures, including wind baffles.
Following the completion of the planning application, Everton will submit it to Liverpool City Council. The club is optimistic about the project's potential to be a game-changer for North Liverpool, creating jobs, social value, and regeneration.
Everton has also announced plans to submit a separate planning application for a community-led legacy project at Goodison Park, the club's home for 127 years.
