December 23, 2019 - Multichoice Kenya has announced the appointment of Nancy Matimu as its new Chief Executive Officer, making her the first woman to hold the position.

Ms. Matimu takes over from Eric Odipo and brings with her a wealth of experience from her previous role as Mastercard Vice President and Head of Market Development in Sub-Saharan Africa.

According to Maharage Chande, Multichoice Northern Africa Regional Director, Ms. Matimu's appointment will play a major role in delivering the experience that customers deserve, core to the company's corporate culture.

Ms. Matimu has over 20 years of experience in leading and directing growth through transformation of businesses and capacity building in brand, products, and innovation, as well as sales and operational excellence in ICT, Telecommunications, and Financial Services.

She has held general management and specialist roles with significant responsibility, including US$2 billion P&L responsibility in top organizations in Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa such as Safaricom, Airtel, and iWayAfrica.
