As the 2022 general election draws near, Deputy President William Ruto's presidential bid has gained momentum, with National Assembly majority leader Aden Duale declaring it unstoppable.

Speaking on Sunday, Duale, the Garissa Town MP, stated that those trying to derail Ruto's quest for State House are wasting their time, resources, and energy.

Although Duale and his Jubilee Party fully support the current administration, he emphasized that Ruto's eyes are fixed on the top seat in the next election.

Accusing Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga of using the Building Bridges Initiatives (BBI) to lock Ruto out of the 2022 presidential race, Duale said Ruto's supporters are aware of Odinga's move.

"We are ready to support Ruto all the way, whether the BBI comes up with a parliamentary or presidential system," Duale stated.

However, Duale advocated for a pure parliamentary system, arguing that it would ensure equitable distribution of national resources regardless of population sizes.

He emphasized that Jubilee's focus should remain on improving health and education, creating employment opportunities for the youth, and transforming the country under the leadership of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
