Armed Thugs Raid Bomet Shop, Steal Ksh.200,000

On Saturday night, three armed thugs raided a shop at the Mulot trading center in Bomet, making off with Ksh.200,000.

According to Bomet East sub-county Police Commander James Kilonzo, the trio ordered those in the shop to lie down and surrender all their cash before fleeing on a motorcycle.

Confirming the incident, Kilonzo told Citizen Digital that the thieves fired in the air numerous times before escaping.

The matter is currently under investigation, with officers stationed at the Mulot Police Post being deployed on patrol to enhance security in the area.

The shop owner has been asked to record a statement with police to aid with the investigation.
