On Sunday evening, a private car met its demise in an abandoned swamp in Kibarani, Mombasa.
The driver's attempt to merge into traffic ended in disaster, as he lost control of the vehicle and drove straight into the swamp.
Fortunately, the occupant was rescued by concerned citizens who quickly responded to the scene.
However, the incident was marred by the presence of thugs who vandalized the car and its spare parts before it sank.
The road in the area was undergoing expansion by a Chinese construction company at the time, leading to a massive traffic jam.
