On a chaotic Saturday, December 21, 2019, a Federation Cup match between Tanzania's Young Africans (Yanga) and Iringa United was momentarily halted due to an unexpected invasion - a swarm of bees.

The bees stormed the pitch at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam just seven minutes into the second half, prompting players and match officials to take cover.

According to a video shared on Yanga's official Facebook page, the stinging insects unleashed themselves on the fans in the stands, causing some to run for safety.

The incident lasted around 10 minutes before the game resumed, with only Yanga star Ali Mtoni Sonso requiring medical attention for an injury sustained during the chaos.

Despite the interruption, Yanga went on to secure a 4-0 win over Iringa United, with Papy Tshisimbi, Patrick Sibomana, Lamine Moro, and David Molinga scoring for the winning team.
