Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been out of action for weeks due to an ankle injury he sustained in September.

Despite being expected to return to action against Colchester in the Carabao Cup, Pogba missed the match with illness.

However, some of his team-mates and club officials now believe that Pogba will never play for United again, despite manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insisting that the Frenchman remains part of his plans.

According to reports, Pogba is determined to leave Old Trafford and has set his sights on the January transfer window, with Real Madrid reportedly leading the race for his services.

Interestingly, United have rediscovered their form in recent weeks, picking huge Premier League wins over Spurs and Manchester City, and have also secured a place in the last 32 of the Europa League and a semi-final berth in the Carabao Cup.
