Sauti Sol's Sol Generation: A New Era in Music ¶

After a heated national debate about the #playkemusic movement a few months ago, Sauti Sol has proven their doubters wrong by launching a new project called Sol Generation.
The group, which has been silent on the matter until Bien spoke out on Breakfast With The Stars, has been working on this project for over two years. According to Bien, they faced several challenges, including financial constraints and a lack of strategy.
However, their hard work has paid off, and they have introduced a talented lineup of artists under Sol Generation, including Crystal Asige, Kaskazini, Nviiri, and BenSoul.
One of their first releases, 'Extravaganza', was a huge hit, featuring a mix of Rhumba and Swahili music that has captured the hearts of Kenyans.
Each member of Sauti Sol has taken on a specific role in the new project. Bien is handling public relations and songwriting, while Polycarp (Fancy Fingers) will handle A&R. Delvin is focusing on music production and ensuring that artists under Sol Generation earn their royalties.
Chimano is responsible for the visual direction, aiming to create a 'visual orgasm' for their fans.
The song 'Extravaganza' has been a game-changer for Sauti Sol, and they have kept their word by releasing 'Kitu Moto' before wrapping up a successful 2019. They have also released a Christmas song, 'Ukiwa Mabli', which has become a fan favorite.
