West Pokot's Top Student Used Helicopter to Commute to School

Long'al Chepengat, a student from West Pokot, used a helicopter to commute to school, achieving an A and 86.9 points in KCSE 2019.

According to Chepengat, her parents' sacrifice motivated her to work hard and achieve her goals. She said, "Safari ya kutoka nyumbani mpaka shule ni ndefu na ingenichukua muda kufika. Babangu alijinyima na kuhakikisha natumia ndege na kusafiri kwa dakika 45,"

Long'al Chepengat was the top student in her school, Alliance Girls, and the seventh best in the country in KCSE 2019. She has aspirations to join the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the US or Trent University in Canada.

However, an investigation by TUKO.co.ke revealed that Long'al is the daughter of a cabinet secretary in the Uhuru Kenyatta administration.
