Esther Passaris Clarifies Her Stance on Being a Second Wife ¶
Esther Passaris, the Nairobi woman representative, has spoken out about her experiences as a second wife in Kenya. In an interview with Citizen TV, she clarified that she is no longer ashamed of her marital status.
Passaris, who is married to city billionaire Pius Ngugi, has two children with him. However, their marriage has not been without its challenges. The couple has been involved in a publicized court battle in the past, with Passaris demanding more upkeep and a vehicle from her husband.
Despite the challenges, Passaris has made peace with her situation and is now comfortable with being a second wife. She attributed her change in attitude to the love and support of her husband, who she described as a great friend and father to their children.
Passaris' husband, Pius Ngugi, has another family, which can make it difficult for him to spend quality time with their children. However, Passaris has expressed her gratitude for the time he does spend with them and has praised him for being a good father.
"I cannot be ashamed of who I am and what I have experienced. There was a time I really had issues with being in a polygamous marriage. I did not plan for it, I ended up in it,” Passaris said in the interview.
