Former Manchester United star Daley Blind has been diagnosed with a serious heart condition, specifically heart muscle inflammation, also known as Cardiomyopathy.

Blind, who now plays for Ajax, was reported to have felt dizziness during the Ajax-Valencia match in the Champions League.

Following a series of medical examinations, it was decided to place a subcutaneous ICD with Blind, a device that is applied under the skin.

According to Ajax, the central defender has undergone an extensive medical examination in recent days, following the dizziness that briefly bothered him during the match.

Blind, 29, is a Netherlands international and has been ruled out of playing football indefinitely due to his condition.
