On a thrilling Saturday at Maseno University, Kisumu All Stars and Maseno Dukes locked horns in the second match of their Kisumu County Basketball League best of five finals series. The stage was set for an intense showdown, with both teams eager to claim victory and take the lead in the series.

However, it was Maseno Dukes who took an early lead, with sharp shooter Edgar Miheso sinking triple three-pointers in the first quarter to give his team a 23-17 advantage. But Kisumu All Stars were not about to give up, and they fought back in the second quarter, led by Dan Otieno's spirited performance.

As the game intensified, both teams gave it their all, with Kisumu All Stars eventually emerging victorious with a 72-68 win. The win tied the series 1-1, with the next two matches scheduled to take place next weekend at the Kisumu Sports Ground.

Charles Anjeho led the charge for Kisumu All Stars with a game-high 10 points, while Derrick Indes and Peter Nyarangi combined for 20 points. Edgar Miheso top-scored for Maseno Dukes with 10 points, with Sdik Ababukar and Benson Udari contributing 7 and 8 points respectively.

When asked about his team's performance, Kisumu All Stars coach Erick Mwoki expressed pride in his team's ability to maintain high spirits and adapt to the opponents' strategies. "Although I am missing some of my top players due to personal commitments and a few injuries, I am proud of how the team maintained high spirits in both matches and knew how to work around the opponents with ease," he said.
