On Saturday, December 21, 2019, Arsenal secured a point against Everton in a Premier League match at Goodison Park.

The match, which was Freddie Ljungberg's last as Arsenal's interim manager, ended goalless.

Alex Iwobi, a Super Eagles star, started for Everton but had to leave the pitch in the 11th minute due to an injury.

Everton started the game impressively, with Fabian Delph having the first chance to score, but his shot was blocked by Bernd Leno.

Five minutes later, Arsenal had their own chance to score when Bukayo Saka supplied a powerful cross inside Everton's 18-yard box, but Reiss Nelson failed to convert the chance.

Both sides failed to find the back of the net in the second half, with the match ending 0-0.

Freddie Ljungberg had earlier confirmed his readiness to stay at Arsenal and work with new manager Mikel Arteta despite not being given the managerial position on a permanent basis.
