On Saturday, December 21, 2019, the third Athletics Kenya Cross Country meeting took place in Ol Kalou, Nyandarua County, where Albert Tanui of Rongai made a statement by winning the senior men 10km race with a time of 30 minutes and 18.33 seconds.

Tanui's victory was not without a challenge, as he had to overcome Franklin Ng'elel of KDF, who finished just two seconds behind. Antony Kibet of Torongo Athletics Club took third place with a time of 30:25.2.

Josephat Bett of Kenya Police finished fourth in 30:33.8, while Peter Emase of Prisons and Moses Koiyatei of KDF took the fifth and sixth positions respectively.

Marion Kibor of Kahawa had an easy win in the senior women 10km race, finishing with a time of 34:15.6 after leading from gun to tape.

"I am happy with the win because this is my first race after coming back from maternity leave. My aim is now to prepare for the KDF Cross Country Championship and hopefully go on to make the (Kenyan) team to Africa Championships," Kibor said.
