On Saturday, December 21, 2019, a wedding ceremony between lovers Lee Njiru and Maureen Wangithi was delayed after the bride was involved in a road accident at Gathoge in Kirinyaga county.

The accident occurred when a saloon car accidentally hit the white limousine carrying Maureen and her bridesmaids, forcing it to grind to a halt.

The bridal team had left Embu in the morning on their way to the wedding venue in Kiamutugu village, Gichugu sub-county.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported at the time of the incident, but the bride was forced to seek services of a less swanky vehicle to avoid any further delay.

A member of the bridal team in charge of transport lamented, 'We hired the limousine at KSh 200,000 to transport the bride but right now she will be transported to the Christians Worship International Ministry in another vehicle, it is a big loss.'

The couple had reportedly hired the luxurious white car at a cost of KSh 200,000 for their big day.
