On December 20, DCI Director George Kinoti hosted a year-end party at the agency's headquarters, marking the end of a successful year in the fight against corruption.
Speaking at the event, Kinoti expressed gratitude to God for protecting the country and his team throughout the year.
"We thank God for protecting us throughout the year. We are committed to using the life we have been given to ensure Kenya is safe and secure," Kinoti said.
The party was also an opportunity for Kinoti to reflect on the past year and set the stage for the challenges ahead in 2020.
Among the guests was Cabinet Secretary for Interior and Coordination of National Government, Karanja Kibicho, who was honored as a special guest.
Also in attendance was Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai.
Kinoti has been at the forefront of the fight against corruption in 2019, working closely with Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji to bring perpetrators to justice.
Both Kinoti and Haji have been instrumental in the weekly meetings to discuss ongoing cases and strategies to combat corruption.
CS Kibicho praised DCI for its efforts in fighting crime and corruption, saying the agency has been a key player in keeping the country safe.
