Carlo Ancelotti has been appointed as the new manager of Premier League side Everton, signing a deal until 2024.
He will take charge of the club after their Premier League game against Arsenal, replacing caretaker boss Duncan Ferguson.
Everton are currently occupying 16th position on the Premier League standings, three points above the relegation zone.
Ancelotti has a rich coaching experience, having won the Premier League, FA Cup, and Community Shield during his spell at Chelsea between 2009 and 2011.
He has also won the Champions League title twice with AC Milan and once with Real Madrid.
On his appointment, Ancelotti expressed his excitement, stating, “This is a great club with a rich history and a very passionate fan base. There is a clear vision from the Owner and the Board to deliver success and trophies. That is something that appeals to me as a manager and I am thrilled at the prospect of being able to work with everybody at the Club to help make that vision a reality,”
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Alex Iwobi said he left Arsenal for Everton to shake off the youngster tag and make a name for himself at Goodison Park.
Iwobi signed a five-year deal with the Toffees after both clubs agreed an initial £28 million deal, which could rise to £34m with add-ons.
