On December 21, 2019, a car accident occurred along the Northern Bypass, sparking panic among fans of Citizen TV reporter Jeff Koinange.
The accident involved a jeep and a lorry, with images of a Mercedes Benz G-Wagon similar to Koinange's causing widespread concern.
However, Koinange has since denied claims of being involved in the accident, assuring his fans that he is safe and sound.
‘To EVERYONE calling, I’m fine. THANKS for checking up.’ Koinange wrote on his Facebook page.
At the time, Koinange was on his way to Baringo with Rashid Abdalla and Professor Hamo to give an early Christmas to the Baringo Dancing trio who went viral on social media.
It was later alleged that the car involved in the accident was similar to that of radio presenter Shaffie Weru, who was reportedly a passenger in the vehicle.
According to sources, the car belonged to Fred Gumo's family, with either his son Mayo or nephew Mike behind the wheel at the time of the accident.
Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the crash, and Shaffie Weru was seen to be in good health.
Our thoughts are with everyone involved in the accident, and we hope they all came out safe and sound.
