Former President Daniel Moi, 95, has been ailing for some time, prompting his son, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi, to seek prayers from Kenyans.

Speaking at Kabarak University's 15th graduation ceremony on Friday, Gideon Moi urged Kenyans to continue praying for his father, who has been improving day by day due to their prayers and thoughts.

According to sources, Mzee Moi had rejected an idea to stay longer in the hospital and instead wanted to recover from the comfort of his home.

Notably, Gideon Moi was absent during the launch of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) at the Bomas of Kenya, despite speculation that he was a potential beneficiary of the development.
