Several celebrities have bravely shared their struggles with suicidal thoughts, revealing the challenges they faced and how they overcame them.
Oliver Mathenge, a Digital Editor at Radio Africa Group, has been open about his struggles with alcoholism and suicidal attempts. In a post titled 'Once Upon A Bottle,' he wrote about his struggles with addiction and how it affected his relationships and job.
Mathenge revealed that he tried to take his own life twice and lost friends due to his addiction. He eventually sought help and has been sober for some time.
Grace Ekirapa, a TV host, also shared her story of struggling with suicidal thoughts. She revealed that she tried to take her own life twice, once by taking 18 pills and another time by taking 35 pills. Ekirapa said that she was struggling with negative energy and feelings of being unwell.
Mejja, a rapper, shared his story of struggling with suicidal thoughts after his ex-wife dumped him through a text. He revealed that he felt like committing suicide was an option, but he eventually sought help and support from his friends.
Kamene Goro, a Kiss FM breakfast presenter, shared her story of struggling with depression and suicidal thoughts after her marriage failed. She revealed that she took 70 sleeping pills but was saved by a still voice that asked her to trust God to handle the situation.
Mr Seed, a musician, shared his story of struggling with suicidal thoughts due to frustration and hopelessness. He revealed that he felt like life was useless and that he was living in isolation. He eventually sought help and support from his faith and started praying.
