December 21, 2019, marked a significant day for Deputy President William Ruto as he prepared to celebrate his 53rd birthday. However, the festivities took an unexpected turn when it emerged that his daughter Abby Ruto and her mother Prisca Bett were not invited to the grand party.

According to inside sources, the decision to exclude them from the guest list was made after deep consultations between the Deputy President's aides and his immediate family. It remains unclear whether the Deputy President himself was briefed on the decision.

"It was the best we could do to avoid scenarios where frictions could arise between Abby and her mother and the country's second family," an inside source close to the DP's protocol revealed.

Abby Ruto's story is one of resilience and determination. Before 2017, she was just another common girl, but her mother's court battle with Gitobu Imanyara as her lawyer over child support and neglect brought her into the public eye. In February 2017, the Deputy President publicly accepted and embraced her as his own daughter, reassuring the public that he provides all the necessary support to her mother Prisca.

Abby's life took another dramatic turn in November 2019 when she emerged among the top candidates in the 2019 KCPE examinations, scoring an impressive 406 marks out of a possible 500 marks. Her humble life was thrust into the public eye, and many congratulated her on her wonderful performance. The Deputy President himself congratulated her on her achievement, leading many to picture a close parent-daughter relationship full of love and affection.

However, it appears that this may not be the case. A fierce supporter of the Deputy President, Joe Rosco, came to his defense, explaining that the boss doesn't make all the decisions and that capable people have been entrusted to perform these functions. However, he notes that at times these people fail to do their work properly, and their negligence should not be blamed on the Deputy President who is a loving father to all Kenyans.

Abby and her mother have now requested Kenyans to intervene and have them attend the grand birthday party of the country's loved Deputy President.
