December 20, 2019, marked the end of an era for Transparency International Kenya as Executive Director Samuel Kimeu resigned from his position.

Sheilah Masinde, a seasoned member of the organization's senior management team since 2015, has been appointed to take over in an acting capacity, effective January next year.

According to Transparency International's Board of Directors, Mr. Kimeu's departure is a result of his engagement with the organization spanning nearly a decade.

During his tenure, Mr. Kimeu played a pivotal role in the institution's growth and sustainability, leaving behind a capable and committed team.

Mr. Kimeu will now join the board as a member, where he will provide advisory services to ensure the organization achieves its goals.

Chairperson Bernadette Musundi expressed confidence in Ms. Masinde's ability to steer the organization through the transition period.
