Bahati and Yvette Obura Clash Over Daughter's Upbringing ¶
Kenyan gospel star Bahati and his baby mama Yvette Obura are embroiled in a bitter dispute over the upbringing of their 4-year-old daughter Mueni.
According to reports, Bahati and Yvette had planned separate birthday celebrations for Mueni, who turned 4 in late November. However, the two failed to coordinate their plans, resulting in a heated exchange.
Bahati was reportedly furious that Yvette had taken Mueni to Mombasa without informing him, and had instead planned a birthday celebration in Nairobi. Yvette, on the other hand, claimed that Bahati had blocked her number, making it impossible for them to communicate.
Yvette questioned Bahati's anger, saying that she had texted him but he did not respond. Bahati, however, insisted that he had not blocked her number and that he was only trying to protect their daughter's interests.
At one point, Bahati asked Yvette to return Mueni to Nairobi in time for a 3:00 pm birthday celebration. However, Yvette had already booked SGR return tickets for two days later, making it impossible for her to comply.
Bahati was further enraged when he discovered that Yvette had taken Mueni to Mombasa by train, instead of flying her there. Yvette dared Bahati to buy Mueni a private jet if he felt that she was not being treated well.
Bahati's defense was that he wanted the best for his daughter and was willing to do anything to make her happy. He also claimed that he only wanted to co-parent with Yvette.
