Published on December 20, 2019, Everton's interim manager Duncan Ferguson will remain in charge of the team for their upcoming home match against Arsenal.
Ferguson, a 47-year-old Scot, has guided the side to a 3-1 home win over Chelsea and a 1-1 draw at Manchester United in the league following the sacking of Portuguese manager Marco Silva earlier this month.
Despite suffering their first defeat under Ferguson's temporary stint in the League Cup quarter-final, Everton confirmed in a statement that he would be at the helm for at least another game.
Italian manager Carlo Ancelotti, who has had a stellar coaching career including trophy-laden spells at AC Milan, Chelsea, Paris St Germain, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, has been linked to the Everton job, but the club has not made any official announcement.
Everton dropped into the relegation zone before Silva's dismissal but have climbed to safety in 16th place with 18 points, three points above the drop zone.
