On Thursday evening, a dramatic scene unfolded in Kitui as a middle-aged woman stripped naked in a desperate bid to evade arrest.
According to a police report, the woman had allegedly assaulted a male companion at the Signal Pub, a local bar, by hitting him with beer bottles.
The injured man was rushed to a local hospital, where he is currently recuperating after being left unconscious and bleeding.
Police had been investigating the woman for drug peddling prior to the incident.
It took the concerted efforts of the police to restrain and apprehend the woman, who was eventually taken into custody.
