Caroline Mutiso's Journey to Empowering Young Women in Business

Published on December 20, 2019

Caroline Mutiso, a 25-year-old entrepreneur from Nairobi, has made a name for herself in the business world. At just 20, she founded Redvyn Events Limited, a company that offers event management services and guest experience executives with a focus on corporate events.

However, what sets Caroline apart is her passion for empowering young women in business. She realized that many young women face challenges in getting started with their business or advancing their careers due to lack of mentorship and guidance.

That's why Caroline created Her Hustle, a community for young women looking to scale up their business or careers. Through Her Hustle, Caroline provides one-on-one mentorship sessions with industry leaders, giving young women access to valuable advice and guidance.

"As a young woman, figuring the right path for yourself is often an uphill task. At times you have these business ideas that you want to pursue but you don't know how to get started. Even if you start the business, often you end up making costly mistakes that make the business hard to run or bring it down completely," Caroline says.

Caroline's journey to creating Her Hustle was not easy. She faced challenges in finding mentors to guide her when she started her business. She attended women conferences and seminars, but often felt excluded as they celebrated older women who had already achieved success.

Today, Her Hustle has become a platform for young women to connect with industry leaders and receive guidance on how to move forward in their business and career endeavors. Caroline's vision is to empower young women to change many lives by providing them with the right advice and guidance.

"We bring together professionals and entrepreneurs who sit down with these young women, listen to them and offer them guidance on what they need to do to move forward. We don't charge these women anything," Caroline says.
